• 'Roids - refers to anabolic steroids. Hormone commonly used to increase muscle mass
• Abject - brought in low condition or status, being of the most contemptible kind
• Accede - to arrive at or come into an office or dignity: accede to the throne
• Affluence - a plentiful supply of material goods; wealth
• Alighieri, Dante - poet born in the 1200s. A line from his famous epic 'Inferno', was used in Midnight Sun (beyond and to all time, I stand)
• Alleviate - to make (pain for example) more bearable; a drug that alleviates cold symptoms
• Amaranth - any of various annuals of the genus amaranthus having dense green or reddish clusters of tiny flowers and including several weeds, ornamentals, and food plants; an imaginary flower that never fades
